GRIMY GOODS: MANDALA MAKE THEIR LA DEBUT AT THE MINT WITH NEW MUSIC ALONG THE WAY

Dropping in on the city of angels, Mandala, a 4-piece rock band originally from Connecticut, rocked a packed show Nov. 18 at the mint, their debut show in L.A. after permanently relocating to the city just a few months ago. With another show planned this month and new music along the way, Mandala are hitting the ground running, injecting themselves into the L.A. music scene with jovial fervor.
Playing a mix of unreleased tracks and already available singles, the band’s high energy, tight playing and lyrical prowess made for an electric set, and though it was their first gig in their new town, Mandala attracted a large and lively audience and seemed right at home on stage among new friends and acquaintances. From their natural spunk and attitude to their sheer delight to be on stage and show what they’ve got, Mandala executed their set with a cool ease.
